For the Heaven-bound Christian Who Is Currently Going Through Hell This book is rated NSFWC - Not Safe for Wussy Christians. Do you feel like you're being Kentucky fried by the trials of life? Do you feel like God, Satan, people, and animals secretly loathe you? If you answered yes to either or both of these questions, you're in good company. Some of the most powerful and amazing folks that God has ever used went through prolonged periods of internal and external crud that reeked worse than a sun-dried manatee carcass. And get this they actually grew - even prospered - through their pain. Yep, they didn't blame God or man, become atheists, start smoking crack, or become bi-curious during their college years just because things didn't go their way. No, they cowboyed up, saw their trials as a gift, embraced whatever discipline God had for them, exercised their faith when under fire and, through it all, became holy winners, not haggard whiners. If you don't feel geared up for difficult times or you are currently being tossed around by life's junk, this book, If You're Going Though Hell, Keep Going!, written by the zany TownHall.com columnist, minister, and talk show host, Doug Giles, will prep you to plow through life's thick fog via the principles of God. Get ready to learn, laugh, become offended (possibly), and thoroughly equipped to milk the bad in life for all of its good.

If You're Going Through Hell Keep Going eBook Doug Giles

I like this tome very much because the author realizes that our daily walk with our Creator and Redeemer requires we remember we are not our own, but bought with a price; the bitter sufferings and death, His triumph over sin, death,Hell and Satin, His resurrection, The Pentecost, and His assention into haven witnessed by his disciples. I will not besmirch the holy name of my Redeemer, Lord, and His office of "The Christ" by calling myself "Christian". There is no way a man born into sin, who lived and lives a sinful life, while redeemed and maintained in Grace daily according to my pleading the Blood of Jesus, could ever call myself a name pretending to self righteousness like unto the sinless life, sacrifice, and triumphal accomplishment as He, who sits at the right hand of God The Father.

When Jesus preached his 30 year ministry, there was no Bible. There was no Church. There were missionary flocks only after Jesus assention. There were no Holy Wars, no Inquisition, No flawed teachings of "the church", no books intentionally left out of our KJV Bible, and no protestant reformation of Dr. Martin Luther. To know Jesus, you might have been the thief on the cross next to Jesus who plead, "Remember me when you come into paradise". And Jesus answered, "Today, thou shalt be with me in paradise." Or you might have been a prostitute like Mary Magdalene who washed her Lord's feet with expensive perfume and dried them with her hair. You might be like that rock of the present Catholic Church, Peter who denied Jesus three times before the cock crewed twice. You might be like Thomas who couldn't believe until he put his hand into Jesus side and pushed his finger through a nail hole in Jesus hand. You might be a blind man who received his sight after Jesus mixed dust and spittle, the medicine he applied to the blind eyes. You might be a cripple who obeyed the command to roll up his bed and go home. You might be one of 5,000 guests at the Jesus Concert on Lake Gallilee who ate of two fish and five barley loaves. You might be a wedding guest who drank of water turned into the finest wine. You might be the demon posssessed man in the cemetary from whom Jesus exorcised legions of demons into a herd of swine; so antagonized by the demons they stampeeded over a cliff to their death. You might be one of the twelve disciples who attended the last supper of Jesus Christ. You might be one of the disciples who prayed with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemene; the ones who fell asleep. You might be like a Samaritan Woman drawing water from a well, who learned Jesus knew everything about her; to whom Jesus gave streams of "living water".You might be simply a contemporary sinner like those early sinners, washed in His blood, free from The Law by Grace, who because of their belief in Jesus Christ has everlasting life. If you're a Sinner, you are gonna love this book. If you are a Christian, it is probably not for you. Like the Pharasee, you have your reward. The rest of us Sinners stand with the Publican in the dusty shadows of the temple beating our breasts and begging for mercy, with tears streaming down our faces, and forgiveness of God. God heard the publican, and He hears us when we have turned our lives and will over to Jesus in our daily prayerful walk with Him. Life is tough and then you die. It is much better to meet Jesus in Heaven than to live life with a stiff neck, a four inch thick callous on our forehead, and the denial of any such thing as life after death as we meet Satin at the gates of Hell. This is definitely a manual for manly Sinners living under Grace who do not shrink from life, good, bad, easy, hard, as we walk with our Redeemer daily.

good book. gives you a different perspective from other writers, and a different point of view. we need more writer's like doug during this troubling time.
Great book! Great author!! Will order and read his other books!
Helps you look at your own problems in a different way.
Prompt shipping and arrived in great condition.
I gotta say that I haven't read a Christian book like this before (and that's a good thing). The book is filled with real theology put in down-to-earth terms. At times I felt like the book was being narrated by Hugo from LOST, but that's what makes it memorable. Some of the terms might give many Christians indigestion, but the authors purpose is to wake the people up. Definitely recommended, especially for pop culture infested Christians...
This book is more a double barreled cannon than a double edged sword. The author has managed to Scripturally support, encourage and warn the seeking believer while blowing massive holes in the facade of the parochial religious, the pew warmers and the commercial compromisers.
His humor, laced with deadly accuracy will have you laughing till you cry or crying till you laugh.
Well done!
I have never read a self help anything. Self Help book, self help napkin,A self help seminar about self help or even a self help apron. So I was please to find that this was NOT one of those things. Doug has a way of clearing any scales left on my eyes and delivering a huge punch to my spiritual laxity. Few men can do that in such a way that makes me laugh and still cut to the heart of biblical principal. After all I am a seriously fallen man with a heart for God that truly knows I don't deserve all of this love.
I bought this book for my daughter. She is in her mid thirties. She has been going through some rough times for quite a while and it seemed as though, no matter what I said, it didn't seem to help much at all.
After I gave her this book, she said that it really made her stop to think about what she had just read and couldn't go on till she deciphered what it meant to her. I am glad I bought this book for her. I see another person in front of me that is not depressed and unreachable. I thought she had lost her smile through this all. but that has all changed. Thank You Doug for writing this incredible book!
Right from the get go Giles' writing had my attention.

The reason I was led to this book was a passion for Christian Apologetics. The idea that most non believers choose to attack "where God is" when things go bad, made me want to have something (thoughts and so on) to armor up with to address those types of questions.

Things you can expect from Giles' little gem? A better understanding that the Christian life isn't all zippity doo dah. You gain a better understanding of the strength of some of the great biblical men, King David, the apostle Paul, the Prince of Peace our Lord and savior Jesus Christ; and how the lives of these incredible men set a standard that the modern Christian is too afraid to uphold. Giles isnt afraid to make this reality known, and I really respected his writing for that.

This book helps show that NONE of these men are wimps, NONE of them had it easy...we dont either, and none of them would have it any other way....are we prepared to handle or problems the same way. Giles supports the text with scripture from the KJV and NASB Bibles. A matchless wit that Ive not read with any other Christian writer, and a snappy and 21st century way to make his point.

This is TOTALLY re readable, and Im glad I read it.
